Mr Plettner joined the firm in 2002 and has more than 11 years of experience in the investment banking industry.
Since his incoporation to the firm, he has participated in more than 60 transactions of sale, acquisition, debt and equity raising (private and public), restructures and valuations of diverse assets in a wide variety of industrial sectors.
Prior to joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Plettner worked for 3 years as manager of Publix, a graphic design studio, and Star Technologies, a company active in the design of information systems, businesses he founded in 1996 and 1997, respectively.
Previously, Mr. Plettner worked as a trainee in brand management at Procter & Gamble Mexico. During the summer of 2001, Mr. Plettner worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where he worked on the merger of two multi-national food companies, and evaluated additional acquisition projects.
Emmanuel joined Financière de Courcelles in April 2011 with fifteen years’ experience in Corporate Finance, mainly in the energy & utilities sector.
He spent eight years in London working for several Anglo-Saxon investment banks, including ABN AMRO and ING Barings, where he advised clients on cross-border M&A mandates.
In 2005 he joined Paris Ixis CIB, now Natixis, to set up and develop the Energy & Utilities M&A practice.
Emmanuel now works more specifically on the Maritime and Offshore, Infrastructure and local government sectors, as well as credit advisory.
Emmanuel has been involved in transactions in six European countries.
He graduated from ESSEC Business School.
Ben joined Cooper Parry in 2002 initially qualifying as a Chartered Accountant before moving into the Corporate Finance team. He has over 9 years dedicated corporate finance experience.
Ben's lead advisory experience is wide ranging including company sales, acquisitions, MBO’s and private equity assignments – many of these transactions are cross-border.
Ben's extensive corporate finance experience is across a variety of sectors but all focussed on mid-market transactions.
His most recent transactions include the sale of Burrows and Close, a well-established chain of 17 pharmacies to Boots UK, the sale of Jigsaw Systems, the UK's largest B2B Apple re-seller to private equity firm Northedge Capital and the sale of world renowned fine bone china manufacturer Royal Crown Derby to Steelite International.
Ben holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham.
Alexander studied civil engineering at the Toglaitti State University in Russia and Business Administration with the main emphasis on finance & investment, controlling and corporate management and has obtained his Masters degree (Diplom-Kaufmann) from the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf in 2007. After graduation he gained further professional experience in management consulting.
Alexander gained expert knowledge in the industries of automotive, plant construction, (B2B) services, chemistry, trading / e-commerce, industry- and consumer goods, IT & telecommunications, pharma and software.
Former Executive Board Member, Dominique became Chief Executive Officer at Financière de Courcelles in 2007, following the change in the control of the company. Dominique began his career at Paribas before joining the Worms et Cie group in 1982, of which he was appointed a managing partner, responsible for industry in 1995. In this capacity he has held the roles of Chairman of Saint-Louis (sugar) and A.W.A et Antalis (paper). He then took over the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the listed company Worms et Cie from 1997 to 2006. Furthermore, he was in charge of important financial activities in one of the largest fund management companies in New York.
Dominique graduated from the IEP PARIS, holds a master's degree in Economic Sciences, a PhD in Law and a Professional Lawyer's Certification (CAPA).
Mr. Michael Gibbons is founder of Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL). Mr. Gibbons provides an active senior role to client engagements and business development opportunities. Immediately prior to forming BGL, Michael was president and CEO of Underwood, Neuhaus & Company, a leading regional securities and investment banking firm in Houston, Texas. While with this firm, he also held positions as executive vice president, head of capital markets and manager of corporate finance. Before joining Underwood, Mr. Gibbons was a senior vice president and served on the operating management committee of McDonald & Company Securities, Inc., in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Gibbons serves on multiple governing boards for both public and private companies and nonprofit organizations. He is past chairman of Global M&A Partners, Ltd. He has a Juris Doctorate, Masters of Science in Management and Bachelor of Arts, cum laude.
Ivan Alver is a co-founder of Global M&A Norway and has been Chairman of Global M&A. Mr. Alver has served on a number of boards both as executive and non-executive member internationally. He has worked as an Investment Banker since 1997.
Prior to this, he was an executive in the aquaculture industry where he held positions as controller, marketing director and head of business development.
Dr. Klien has led numerous privatizations, fundraisings, buy and sell side, and investments with in the 30 years of his career. He has successfully structured transactions in several sectors including construction, real estate, transport, steel, non-ferrous metal, automotive, railway supply industry and infrastructure. Among these are the divestiture of a telecom company, privatization of a print circuit board company, fundraising for an IT company and acquisitions and divestiture of various metal processing and engineering companies.
Mr. De Boer is a co-founder of ZETRA International AG (ZETRA) and a Board member of Global M&A Partners Ltd. Since 2008, ZETRA has always been listed among the Top 4 and since 2013 among the Top 2 M&A-advisors in Switzerland. Prior to ZETRA, he was Partner at the Helbling Group in Zurich and in charge of the corporate finance division. Prior to this, Frédéric worked for the Nestlé Group in Europe, USA and Africa. Frédéric serves on a number of boards of companies in Switzerland and Lichtenstein.
Mr. de Boer provides an active senior role in M&A engagements internationally with particular focus on sell-side advisory for mid-cap transactions. He graduated from University of St. Gallen and INSEAD in Fontainebleau.
Mr. Ronald van Rijn is owner and managing partner of Solveigh Nederland since 2012 and partner of JBR since 1998. Mr. Van Rijn has more than 22 years of experience in corporate finance and strategic advice. Focus on mergers, acquisitions and restructuring.
Ronald graduated in Business Economics in 1989 at the Erasmus Universtity of Rotterdam and has since then managed over 100 national and international M&A transactions in a variety of industries such as Healthcare, Maritime and Offshore, Energy, TIME and Food & Agriculture.
