RECOF was founded in 1987 by Masaaki Yoshida, a pioneer of M&A services in Japan.  The largest independent M&A boutique in Japan, it has access to a wide network of listed as well as unlisted Japanese companies.  Staying ahead of the changing M&A market, the firm also publishes MARR, the only Japanese language periodical on the Japanese M&A market and maintains a commercial database of M&A transactions involving Japanese companies.
