Our History

Global M&A is the product of a merger between leading partners of two separate M&A partnerships - Euro-Merger and M&A Partners. Both partnerships were founded by a group of like-minded entrepreneurs who recognised that cross border deals were becoming a way of life for most successful practitioners, even in the mid-market.

Leading partners of each partnership came together in 1998 and decided to create a new partnership based on their vast experience in cross border M&A work in a partnership of independent firms, thus Global M&A was borne. Global M&A brought together many of the strongest partners from each partnership into a single, world-leading alliance.

Since 1999, the partnership has invested heavily in an IT infrastructure that brings each partner ever closer together when co-operating on client projects. With 33 partners represented in most of the world's leading financial centres, the partnership continues to extend its coverage with a clear focus on recruiting the highest quality new partners, rather than simply adding 'flags on the map'.
