Dusseldorf, Valencia, 13 October 2006 - Global M&A, the world's leading partnership of independent middle market investment banking firms, has made a further significant investment in its cross-border service offering.
The partnership today announced the opening of its Global M&A Knowledge Centre. Based in Valencia, Spain, the Knowledge Centre provides research support and market analysis to each of Global M&A's 10 cross-border sector teams.
Recognising the depth and breadth of the industry sector expertise across the 31 Global M&A partner firms, the partnership established cross-border sector teams at the beginning of 2005. These teams draw from the experts within individual firms to provide comprehensive coverage of the whole spectrum of industries including Business Services, Automation & Controls, Food & Beverage and Global Packaging (G-Pack). The Knowledge Centre, initially staffed with two full-time dedicated researchers, will now serve as the hub for gathering, analyzing and distributing global deal and valuation statistics to each of these sector teams.
“The formation of the Global M&A Knowledge Centre is further evidence of our partnership’s resolve to unlock maximum value for our clients on both cross-border and domestic M&A transactions,” said Michael Gibbons, Global M&A chairman and senior managing director of U.S. partner firm Brown Gibbons Lang & Company.
Neil Collen, Knowledge Centre manager and founder of Global M&A Spanish partner NC Finanzas Corporativas, added “We are very excited about the launch and the opportunity to provide the partnership with comprehensive, real-time global sector intelligence. We fully expect the Knowledge Centre team to grow in the not too distant future.”
