Ex Global M&A Chairman Carlo Montenovesi hands the baton over to New Chairman, Michael Gibbons of US partner, Brown Gibbons Lang & Company.
The 2nd Annual Global M&A Conference which took place in the sumptuous surroundings of the Westin Excelsior Hotel, Venice Lido on 13 and 14 April, saw the election of Global M&A’s new Chairman, Michael Gibbons, Senior Managing Director of US partner, Brown Gibbons Lang & Company.
Michael has taken on the challenge to build the strength and worldwide recognition of one of the world’s leading corporate finance partnerships, Global M&A. “I am very excited about being the new Chairman of Global M&A and very much look forward to working with our 27 partners to continue to build and strengthen this ‘best of breed’ partnership of corporate finance houses around the world. We have many new initiatives which we plan to put into action over the coming twelve months and very much look forward to this challenge.”
Carlo Montenovesi who was Chairman of Global M&A between 2003 to 2005 believes Michael will be an excellent role-figure for the partnership and comments: “Brown Gibbons Lang & Co has been a partner of Global M&A for over five years and I am confident that Michael will make a strong and influential leader for Global M&A and lead the partnership boldly into 2005.”
The event also saw the welcoming of three new partners to Global M&A thus increasing the partners to 27 worldwide: Aventum Partners of Finland, Benson Oak of the Czech Republic and Hexagon Capital Advisors of Poland. The partnership is delighted with these new additions which will ultimately open new doors of opportunity in Scandinavia and the new accession states.
